About Us

Our Mission & Vision

To create a thriving, resilient, and drug-free community where individuals and whānau are empowered to reclaim their lives with dignity, purpose, and hope through holistic, kaupapa Māori-based recovery support that honours cultural identity, fosters connection, restores balance, and promotes long-term wellbeing. Grounded in te ao Māori and guided by tikanga, our mana-enhancing approach supports healing across wairua, hinengaro, tinana, and whānau. We walk alongside people on their journey, upholding the values of aroha, manaakitanga, and whanaungatanga to ensure each step is culturally safe, empowering, and transformative.

The Mana Enhancing STOP kōhatu symbolize your unique huarahi (journey) toward healing, restoration, and transformation. Each kōhatu is carefully chosen with intention, reflecting the values of Te Ao Māori and the personal growth you experience throughout the kaupapa. They are hand-painted, embodying the wairua and significance of your progress, and are gifted to you as a powerful taonga — a reminder of your resilience, the steps you have taken, and the strength you carry forward. These kōhatu not only mark key moments in your journey, but also serve as enduring symbols of your commitment, courage, and success.

Our 'Model of Care'

We guide you and your whānau towards your aspirations and help you achieve whānau transformation.

Ko Aū – means me – at the centre of the engagement.

Our behaviour impacts future generations, hence whānau must be part of the recovery journey.

(This Model of Care was developed alongside tangata whaiora,whanau/family members, communities, and a range of local providers for the Lakes and Eastern Bay of Plenty).

Our ‘Model of Care’ represents the ripple of water, whakapapa as an enduring wave: Onamata (past) – Inamata (present) – Anamata (future)
